Norway based provider of marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) data, Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS), has won a 3D EM data acquisition gig offshore Uruguay.
The contract award is from the BG Group and it’s worth approximately $27 million.
“We are delighted to start working for BG in Uruguay on this survey. This contract provides us with a substantially improved backlog and we look forward to further developing our relationship with this customer,” says Roar Bekker , CEO of EMGS.
The survey is expected to begin around December 15, 2014 and it will be acquired by a 116 meters long EM survey vessel, EM Leader.
According to the company, the survey is anticipated to last approximately three and a half months.
