Nigeria LNG and its affiliate Bony Gas Transport secured a New York court order against the arrest or attachment by some claimants.

According to the company’s General Manager in charge of External Relations Division, Kudo Eresia-Eke competing claimants sought payment for the same parcel of fuel delivered to LNG Finima, a vessel owned by Bony gas Transport, after the insolvency of OW Bunker & Trading, that was contracted to render the services, left the physical supplier unpaid.

As Eresia-Eke said, the invoice is being paid into Court to be further released to the party adjudged entitled to receive it, rendering the arrest order by NuStar Energy redundant, and blocking any further steps against any Bonny gas or NLNG assets.

NuStar is believed to be owed almost $2.46 million for about 3,600 metric tons of fuel delivered in October 2014.
