Manuel Valls, French prime minister, has announced that ADEME will launch a new call for expressions of interest in June 2015 for the development of floating turbines, worth EUR 150 million.
At the opening ceremony of the Alstom factories in Saint-Nazaire, Manuel Valls emphasized the French government’s will to pursue the development of marine renewable energy revealing that ADEME will launch a new call for expressions of interest in June 2015, this time for the development of floating turbines, worth EUR 150 million.
He added that the government also wishes to participate in projects which were not selected on the previous call for expressions of interest by ADEME for the pilot tidal energy farm at Raz Blanchard, and that it will provide other means of support to them: a strong signal in the sector’s favour.
