CNOOC of China has received a liquefied natural gas cargo from Yemen’s Balhaf plant at the Tianjin LNG terminal.

The Grace Barleria LNG tanker, with a capacity of 149,700 cbm, completed unloading operations at the Tianjin terminal on Wednesday, CNOOC Gas & Power said in a statement.

The LNG shipment will help CNOOC to fill in the supply gap caused by cold weather which increased gas demand in Tianjin, according to the statement.

Tianjin’s daily gas transmission almost doubled from 1.8 million cbm in November to current 3.4 million cbm.
