Statoil, Gassco and ExxonMobil have received consent to perform manned underwater operations between December 1, 2014 and November 30, 2015.
Statoil has signed framework agreements with the companies Technip Norge AS and Subsea 7 Norway AS for the provision of such services to the three companies. The consent applies to manned underwater operations down to 180 metres and covers both planned and undefined operational and project tasks, as well as emergency repairs.
ABB has been selected to deliver electrical propulsion, power, safety and automation systems on a single control system platform for a 5000T heavy-lift pipelay construction vessel.
This is the first time ABB delivers power and propulsion system fully integrated with the 800xA automation solution for this type of vessel. The vessel, will be built by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group Co. (WSIC) and will be used in ultra-deep waters.
SapuraAcergy, a joint venture company equally owned by SapuraKencana and Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract from Total E&P Myanmar. The contract is valued between $120 million and $130 million.
In addition, SapuraAcergy has entered into a sub-contract with Heerema Marine Contractors Australia. The sub-contract is valued at approximately $18 million.
Jumbo has signed a contract with Technip Oceania for the Installation of 13 Subsea Structures for the Chevron Wheatstone Project located offshore Australia.
The Subsea Structures comprise of Pipeline Termination Structures (PTSs), SSIV structures, Tee Protection Structures (TPSs) and Drill Centre Manifolds. The Manifolds, to be installed at a maximum water depth of 240m, weigh up to 564T. Installation will be done by Jumbo’s Fairplayer.
Bibby Offshore’s Houston-based division, Bibby Subsea, is getting ready for the delivery of the Olympic Ares, a multi-functional subsea construction support vessel (CSV) which is due to arrive in the port of Galveston on December 16, 2014.
The 115 metre Olympic Ares is a vessel, with specifications including a 250 tonne heave compensated crane for subsea use to 3,000 meter water depth and 1300 square meter of clear back deck space.
