Svitzer extends Egyptian LNG towage operations contract

Svitzer has extended the towage operations contract with Egyptian LNG for five years.

Svitzer informs that it has signed a towage operations contract extension that will keep its four tugs and three pilot boats servicing Egyptian LNG until 2020.

Svitzer has been operating at the LNG terminal in Idku since 2005. Additionally, Svitzer and Egyptian LNG have worked closely together to identify the best operational solution for Egyptian LNG’s current gas export requirements.

Located at Idku, 50km East of Alexandria, Egyptian LNG currently accommodates two trains, each with a capacity of 3.6 million tonnes per annum.
