DONG Energy has acquired the remaining 50% ownership interest in the Barrow Offshore Wind Farm from its joint venture partner Centrica plc.

The project has a total capacity of 90MW and has been in full operation since 2006.

DONG Energy has been the operator of the Barrow Offshore Wind Farm and will as consequence of the transaction become the sole owner of the project.

The company is currently building Westermost Rough in the UK with a total capacity of 210MW and Borkum Riffgrund 1 and Gode Wind 1+2 in Germany with a total capacity of 894MW. Upon completion of these projects, DONG Energy will have built a total of approximately 3,600MW in the UK, Germany and Denmark.
