Ashtead Technology has appointed Kevin Murray-Taylor as global product sales manager.

Based in Aberdeen, Murray-Taylor is responsible for product sales within Ashtead, providing a central focus for both customers and the regional sales teams in Aberdeen, London, Houston and Singapore.

Formerly regional sales manager for Ashtead in Singapore, Murray-Taylor has ten years’ sales experience in the subsea industry. Prior to joining Ashtead he held senior positions with leading manufacturers, CDL and Veripos.

The provider of solution for specialist subsea equipment recently launched Ashtead training academy to meet global demand for improved competency in the configuration, operation and maintenance of increasingly sophisticated subsea equipment.

Ashtead Technology’s commercial director, Tim Sheehan , said: “With a strong heritage stretching back some thirty years, Ashtead has evolved from a rental business to become a much more integrated provider of subsea equipment solutions, offering custom solutions to meet the needs of the subsea industry from survey to engineering, procurement and construction companies and to the inspection, repair and maintenance sector. We have invested heavily in our fleet and in securing global agreements with the leading manufacturers which ensure that we are able to provide the technology our customers want.”

This appointment is the first in a number of key appointments being made by the company over the next few months to support equipment sales worldwide.

Sheehan added: “With Kevin’s new global sales-focused role we are reinforcing our commitment to customer service. His appointment is a direct result of having listened to our customers and taking steps to meet their global needs. We will be adding further sales personnel as we continue to build this part of the business.”
