The Victorian Regional Channels Authority has announced the completion of dredging works near shore area of the Sorrento front beach.

Dredging works were undertaken by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries with the usage of a vessel-mounted cutter suction pump. Dredged material was used to renourish the adjacent beach area.

On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation have been removed but mariners are advised to exercise caution and proceed at a safe speed when navigating within the vicinity of the Sorrento front beach.
