China’s ENN recently bunkered DSD’s 5, 000 ton-LNG powered maritime vessel in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, claiming it is the first time an LNG-powered maritime vessel has bunkered in China.

The overnight operation was completed without issues despite strong winds, rain and thunder, stands in the ENN report.

Li Guang, the executive deputy manager of LNG for Vessel Division of ENN said this bunkering operation is a major milestone for the company that is planning on further developing LNG bunkering facilities.

According to ENN, the truck-to-ship operation broke a series of China’s LNG bunkering records; the largest tonnage of the bunkered vessel, the largest single bunkering volume of over 200 m³ and the highest average speed of fuel filling.

The same vessel will return for bunkering in about 30 days, said ENN in a statement.
