RasGas of Qatar said it has delivered the 1000th LNG cargo from its Ras Laffan facility to India’s Petronet LNG.
According to a company statement, the milestone cargo was loaded on December 22 and delivered to Petronet LNG onboard the Disha liquefied natural gas carrier, under the long-term SPA.
The SPA between RasGas and Petronet LNG was inked in July, 1999 for 7.5 million tonnes per year for the period of 25 years. The same vessel loaded the inaugural cargo on January 25, 2004 for delivery to Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal.
In 2014, RasGas delivered more than nine million tons of LNG to India.
