The search efforts to find the data recorders of AirAsia’s missing QZ8501 plane have resumed as weather conditions improved.
The plane, en route from Surabaya to Singapore, went down in Java Sea off the coast of Kalimantan with 162 people on board.
According to the latest reports five large objects have been spotted during the weekend at a depth of 30 m, BBC reported.
The largest object measures 18 meters by 5.4 m meters. Bad weather prevented the teams to reach the objects, BBC wrote.
Divers and underwater cameras were deployed to aid the search. However, the strong currents made the search more difficult.
Until now 34 bodies were recovered. Yesterday the teams identified three additional remains.
There were 155 passengers on board, with 137 adults, 17 children and 1 infant. Also on board were 2 pilots and 4 cabin crew and one engineer on board.
