Excelerate completes 700th STS LNG transfer

Excelerate Energy completed its 700th commercial Ship-to-Ship transfer of LNG on January 7, 2015 in Escobar, Argentina at the GNL Escobar LNG import facility.

Excelerate Energy informed it completed its 700th commercial Ship-to-Ship transfer of LNG on January 7 in Escobar, Argentina at the GNL Escobar LNG import facility.

Using Excelerate Energy’s regasification vessel, Exemplar and the conventional LNG carrier Cadiz Knutsen, 73,778 cubic meters of LNG were transferred using the double-banked LNG transfer system. Excelerate has successfully transferred over 74,000,000 cubic meters using its STS protocol, of the 700 operations, 602 have been with third-party vessels.

As Excelerate Energy informed, out of its 700 STS transfers 409 have been completed in Argentina. 142 were completed in Kuwait and 127 in Brazil. The company performed STS transfers of LNG across the world, in the Caribbean (4), Cyprus (10), Dubai (2), Gulf of Mexico (4) and the UK (2).
