The Hitachi ZH210LC-5 hybrid excavator has been named the best construction machine at the Potencia Awards in Madrid in the category ‘earthmoving with crawler excavators’.
The judges of the award included managers from rental companies (Alco Grupo) and related associations (SEOPAN, ASEMAQ, ANAPAT), as well as fleet managers from the major contractors in Spain (Acciona, Dragados, FCC, Ferrovial Agroman, OHL and Sacyr).
The hybrid excavator was entered for the award by Hispano Japonesa de Maquinaria, SL (HJM), the Hitachi dealer in Spain.
“ We were convinced that the machine’s concept of ‘practical hybrid excavator’ would be appreciated by the judges in this category, ” said Mark Benfield, HJM’s Product and Marketing Manager.
The Hitachi ZH210LC-5 hybrid model incorporates the TRIAS-HX hydraulic system that combines hydraulic, electrical and battery technology to achieve a high hydraulic efficiency, and can reduce fuel consumption by 15% compared to the conventional model.
