Severe weather warning

The Met Office, responsible for providing weather warnings for the UK, on Thursday issued a number of severe weather warnings for northern parts of the UK as two Atlantic storms were set to bring strong winds, forecasting gusts of up to 100 mph in northern parts of Scotland.

By looking at the video above, reportedly shot by an offshore worker, the forecasts were spot on.

Also, according to Evening Express, newspaper based in Aberdeen area, thousands of homes in the UK lost power due to the severe weather.

The newspaper has also said that a total of eighteen flights have been cancelled between Aberdeen and Scatsta airports, a route largely used by offshore oil & gas industry.
