ABPmer was contracted by Cathie Associates Ltd to assess sediment mobility along the export and infield cable routes of two sub-projects within the Hornsea offshore windfarm zone.

To help Cathie Associates Ltd establish the required cable burial depths, ABPmer reviewed detailed survey data to assess the potential for future changes in the profile of the seabed along the cable routes.

Bill Cooper, Managing Director, ABPmer said: “We were delighted to be awarded this contract. ABPmer has provided specialist consultancy services to the majority of offshore wind farm developments around the UK.

Of particular relevance to this study is our work on seabed mobility across a range of scales, including the behaviour of sandwave features.”
