Ningbo Orient Cables Wins Chinese Offshore Wind Deal

Chinese cable manufacturer Ningbo Orient Wires and Cables Co Ltd, has won a contract to deliver subsea cable for a 400MW offshore wind project off Putian, China.

The contract is worth CNY 122.46 million (approximately EUR 17 million) and involves the production and delivery of a 220kV submarine optical composite cable and related equipment.

The delivery is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2015, Ningbo Orient said in its official press release on Friday. The company added that it only got a confirmation of winning the contract, which is scheduled to be signed soon.
