GAC has informed that from January 20 and for approximately 2 weeks, submarine cable repair works involving diving operation will be carried out off Tong Fuk.

The works will be carried out by one work boat and one tug will provide assistance.

To facilitate the transshipment of materials for the works, one derrick lighter will be stationed within the area bounded by straight lines.

A working area of approximately 50 metres will be established around the derrick lighter.

Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the derrick lighter.

The hours of work will be from 08:00 to 18:00 hours. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the transshipment area outside the working hours.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear at slow speed, bearing in mind that there are divers working in the works area.
