After completing the installation of the second CETO 5 unit , Carnegie Wave has announced the deployment of third CETO 5 unit is expected in 30 days.

The third and final CETO 5 unit has been moved to the Australian Maritime Complex, marine industrial facility, for final assembly ahead of its installation.

Carnegie plans to deploy the third unit after retrieving the first CETO 5 unit, which has now clocked up to 1700 ocean hours, for onshore inspection.

The third CETO 5 unit will, amongst other things, be used to demonstrate operation and maintenance methodologies, and due to this, may be held onshore for longer than 30 days to minimize the installation and retrieval costs, if it is determined that the first CETO 5 unit can continue to operate without needing to be retrieved for onshore inspection, Carnegie’s press release reads.
