Vattenfall is looking for a contractor who will carry out paint repair works on transition pieces (TPs) of DanTysk offshore wind turbines.

The work includes surface preparation and painting of all the damaged areas on each of the foundation structures (TPs). Also, the contractor shall deliver the required consumables, paint, sandpaper etc.

“It is essential that the paint repair work is carried out in accordance with Application Repair Procedure Smoulders for DanTysk Offshore Wind Farm and, NORSOK M 501 as well as the guidelines described in the paints technical data sheet. Personnel must be qualified for carrying out the task fulfilling the technical specifications and ER corrosion protection Oct 2013 of paint damage repairs in/on transition pieces in an offshore environment,” the company said.

The DanTysk offshore wind farm, located some 70 kilometers west of the island of Sylt in the German North Sea, comprises 80 Siemens’ 3.6 MW wind turbines.
