Eurus Energy Group has commissioned its 18 MW wind farm in Akita city, Japan.
Called Eurus Akitako Wind Farm, it comprises six Siemens wind turbines, each rated at 3MW. With the tower’s height of 79.5m and the rotor diameter of 101m, this is the largest wind farm of this kind in Japan.
Located at Mukaihama beach, one of the turbines is installed 100 meters offshore.
Eurus Energy Group already operates 2 wind farms in Akita, and with the completion of this one, the company’s total installed wind power capacity in Akita has increased to 55.65MW.
