President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi held on Monday, February 2nd 2015, a meeting to review the main guidelines of the general plan for the Suez Canal region development project.

In a press release, spokesman of the president, Alaa Youssef said the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish, Dar Al-Handasah company consultants and a number of officials.

The meeting reviewed the plan to develop East Port Said Port and its industrial and logistic zone as well as Ain Sokhna Port and the industrial zone in northwest Suez Gulf. They also discussed amending the economic zones law that will be the legal framework of the Suez Canal region development project, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the President said that preparing and implementing the proposed projects should be completed as soon as possible in order to present them at the economic conference due to be held next month in Sharm El-Sheikh.
