Vard, a Fincantieri unit, informed that it has delivered the LNG-powered PSV, Stril Barents to Simon Møkster Shipping.
The LNG-powered platform supply vessel is built for operations in arctic areas and will start working for Eni at the Goliat field in the Barents Sea on a ten-year contract, the company informed in a statement.
The PSV features Vard 1 06 design and has combined platform supply and emergency response capabilities.
The ship’s ten-year contract in the Barents Sea is starting this month.
The ship’s naming ceremony was held at Skagenkaien in Stavanger, on Thursday.
