WorleyParsons said it has signed a contract with Steelhead LNG in connection with the proposed Sarita Bay LNG Project on Vancouver Island, Canada.

WorleyParsons said it has signed a contract with Steelhead LNG in connection with the proposed Sarita Bay LNG project on Vancouver Island, Canada.

The proposed project is a 24 mtpa land-based facility being developed jointly by Steelhead LNG and Huu-ay-aht First Nations.

The contract is for the provision of preliminary front-end engineering and design studies, geotechnical investigations, environmental impact assessments, and permitting approvals support, the company informed in a statement.

WorleyParsons will begin the newly awarded activities immediately and will support the project with technical personnel from its offices in Burnaby, Canada and London, England.
