Steve Klein, Snohomish County Public Utility District CEO/General Manager, has announced his retirement, effective May 1, 2015.

Steve Klein has led Snohomish PUD for nine years, where he played a central role in the research and development of multiple renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, biomass/biogas and small hydropower.

During the period Klein led Snohomish PUD, the utility has made significant developments in the research of tidal energy.

PUD Board of Commissioners President Kathleen Vaughn said: “The PUD has benefitted greatly from having such a highly regarded and skilled manager. The energy industry has become increasingly complex, and Steve’s forward-thinking vision has been central to our success.”
