This annual event organized by RenewableUK brings together investors, project and technology developers including decision makers from government and business with responsibilities across the UK, Europe and international markets.
The event is taking place on February 25 and 26, 2015, at Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
The event programme for the first day includes sessions on public funding outlook for wave and tidal, the progress report on tidal technology, as well as wave energy research insights.
Some of the main speakers for the first day of the event include Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism of Scotland, Rémi Gruet, CEO of Ocean Energy Europe, Martin Murphy, Managing Director of Tidal Energy Ltd, and Jason Hayman, Managing Director at Sustainable Marine Energy Ltd.
Among others, the event programme for the second day includes session covering status updates on the first tidal and wave arrays, as well as session on bringing private investments into marine energy projects. Globalizing wave and tidal energy will also be discussed, and the newest developments in the tidal energy sector will be presented.
Some of the speakers for the second day include Dan Pearson, Chief Executive Officer at MeyGen Ltd, Tim Sawyer, Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Wave Energy Ltd, Simon Cheeseman, Wave and Tidal Sector Specialist, ORE Catapult, and Calum Davidson, Director of Energy and Low Carbon, Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
