RES Offshore has followed up the successful installation of the West of Duddon sands (WoDS) offshore met mast with a contract to carry out the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the met mast and equipment for the next 5 years.

The mast was installed in August this year at the 389MW West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm in the Irish Sea for project owners DONG Energy and Scottish Power Renewables and is situated approximately 14 nautical miles off the Cumbrian coast.

The O&M services to be delivered by RES include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the structure, platform and lattice tower together with the maintenance of the instrumentation and power systems which also formed part of the EPC contract.
