Astaldi Bags Taranto Port Dredging Deal

Astaldi Group recently won a €52 million contract related to the dredging works in the Port of Taranto, Italy. Astaldi Group recently won a €52 million contract related to the dredging works in the Port of Taranto, Italy.

The works are part of the plan, launched by the port authority, to modernize and expand the container terminal area.

The rough estimates show that around 2,3 million cubic meters of sediment will need to be dredged.

During the project, the depth in the area will be deepened by more than 2.5 meters, and the contaminated sediments reclaimed.

The works on the project are expected to start soon with the contract duration of approximately one year.
