Romania’s SC Shark SRL has secured a diving/ROV services contract from OMV Petrom SA.

The framework agreement, awarded earlier this year, requires the contractor to provide diving services, prospecting and operation of remotely operated vehicles, in order to explore the operating perimeters for the extraction of hydrocarbons in the Black Sea.

With a core of diving personnel involved in offshore diving from the very start of the offshore oil and gas industry on the Romanian Black Sea, SHARK Subsea has focused in the last years on offshore diving projects, construction, installation, as well as offshore structures repairs and maintenance.

According to reports, the tender is likely to be sub-contracted.

The contract value is approximately 8 million euros.

Shark S.R.L. is a privately owned company founded in 1997 and based in Constanta Port, Romania. The company offers services from surface oriented diving to inspection and workclass ROV’’s and offshore surveys.
