Norwegian vessel owner, Eidesvik Offshore, will perform a naming ceremony for its latest Offshore Construction Vessel ‘Viking Neptun’ in Stavanger, this Saturday, February 28.

The 145 meters long ICE 1B-class vessel was delivered from Kleven last Tuseday.

The vessel, scheduled to kick off its work campaign for Technip in March, is the largest investment Eidesvik has done in the subsea segment.

Eidesvik has taken a long-term loan of approximately NOK 940 million (USD 124 million) to finance the vessel.

The ship is developed by Eidesvik in close cooperation with Salt Ship Design and Kleven group and has the designation SALT 301 OCV.

Additionally, the vessel sails under the Bahamas flag, with a 2600 m2 cargo deck that is equipped with two cranes, 400 tonnes and 100 tonnes respectively, with load capacity of 13500 T, and can accommodate 150 people.
