Winter is always a busy time for dredging with Marinas traditionally having less boats on the pontoons, as owners take their vessels ashore for maintenance; working in the winter avoids disruption to marina and harbor users.

This year is no exception…. So far this season Jenkins Marine has dredged and disposed of over 40,000m3 of material from the South Coast of the UK.

Works have included dredging an access channel for Lafarge aggregates in Langstone Harbor, marina dredging for Dean and Reddyhoff in East Cowes, and harbor maintenance dredging for Yarmouth Harbor commissioners on the Isle of Wight. Other dredging projects have included works at Royal Motor Yacht Club and Parkstone Yacht Club in Poole, and facilities in Lymington.

Dredging works continue into the new year with Jenkins Marine already securing project in Chichester Harbor, Southampton and Poole, with a combined total exceeding another 20,000m3 of material for dredging and disposal.
