Ust-Luga Dredging Tender Announced

FSUE Rosmorport has announced an open tender for the maintenance dredging of the Ust-Luga seaport’s RO-RO ferry complex in the navigation period of 2015.

According to Rosmorport, works on the project are scheduled to take place from June 15th, with the completion set for August 31st 2015.

The tender is part of the company’s strategic plan to perform over 38 mln cbm of dredging works in 2015-2017. Nearly one-third of the works will be executed by using Rosmorport’s own equipment with the rest to be fulfilled by contracting companies.

Rosmorport plans for maintenance dredging in 2015 call for:

Dredging of 1.3 mln cbm from the Baltic Basin;

Dredging of 0.9 mln cbm from the Arctic Basin;

Dredging of 10.2 mln cbm from the Southern Basin;

Dredging of 0.16 mln cbm from the Far East Basin.

The multipurpose Ust-Luga port is the only Russian port on the Baltic Sea capable of receiving dry-cargo vessels with the deadweight of up to 75,000 tons and liquid cargo carriers with the deadweight of up to 120,000 tons.
