NORCOWE partners held the workshop on “Development of wind-farm power-prediction tools” on Tuesday.
Idar Barstad and Henning Heiberg-Andersen described power-prediction methodology in the case of a mesoscale numerical weather model, while Alla Sapronova spoke about the case of artificial neural networks.
Each presentation was followed by questions from the attendees, followed by a discussion of the degree to which comparable methods were already in use within NORCOWE user partners, and the factors constraining the take up and further development of our methods by users.
The workshop was fully booked, and had a group of additional participants via video conference.
