Deadline for decision on Swansea tidal set

UK Secretary of State, Ed Davey, has 3 months to make a decision on the project. The six-month examination period closed on December 10, 2014. Planning Inspectorate had a period of 3 months to consider and make a recommendation to the Secretary of State. The Planning Inspectorate issued a report of

UK Secretary of State, Ed Davey, has 3 months to make a decision on the project.

The six-month examination period closed on December 10, 2014. Planning Inspectorate had a period of 3 months to consider and make a recommendation to the Secretary of State.

The Planning Inspectorate issued a report of recommendation to the Secretary of State on March 10, 2015.

The Secretary of State now has 3 months to issue a decision. The decision letter and report of recommendation will be published on Planning Inspectorate’s website after the decision has been made.

Once a decision has been issued by the Secretary of State, there will be a six week period in which the decision may be challenged in the High Court.
