Siemens to Deploy 6MW Turbines at Veja Mate

Siemens has signed a turbine supply agreement with Highland Group Holdings Limited (Laidlaw Capital Group) for the 402 MW Veja Mate offshore wind power plant.

The contract for the project, on which the investment decision is yet to be made, was signed at EWEA Offshore in Copenhagen this week.

The project will consist of 67 SWT-6.0-154 wind turbines, and which are to be installed in German North Sea starting in March 2017. Commissioning is planned within the same year.

The agreement also includes all vessel operations and a 15-year service and maintenance contract.

Highland Group Holdings acquired Meja Mate project last year located next to its Deutsche Bucht wind farm.
