Royal HaskoningDHV, together with South Tyneside Council, Oobe and Galliford Try is adding yet another high profile recognition to its Littlehaven Promenade and Sea Wall project.

Following awards from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Institution of Civil Engineers and a commendation from the Concrete Society in 2014 and hot on the heels of being shortlisted for further awards in two categories at the Placemaking Awards 2015, the Littlehaven Promenade and Sea Wall project has now also been shortlisted for the finals of the Construction News Awards as ‘Project of the Year’.

The Littlehaven scheme saw the build of a new realigned curved 500m-long sea wall to replace old defenses which were deteriorating.

The success in being shortlisted for multiple awards in 2015 is due to the partnership approach that Royal HaskoningDHV (designer) adopted with South Tyneside Council (client), Oobe (landscape architect) and Galliford Try (contractor) which showcases the company’s ability to ‘Enhance Society Together’.
