India’s Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) has launched a tender for the supply of Light Detection And Ranging Instruments (LiDARs) for sites off the coast of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

The tender is run under FOWIND project which aims to facilitate offshore wind power development in India and in turn contribute to India’s transition towards use of clean technologies in the power sector.

The tender covers installation, commissioning, testing and two and a half years of maintenance of the device.

Interested parties have until 15 May to submit their proposals.

Led by Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), FOWIND also includes the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), DNV GL, the Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (GPCL) and the World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE).
