Oslo-listed Boa OCV AS has secured an extension of a firm charter contract with Singapore’s offshore contractor EMAS-AMC AS for the BOA Sub C.

BOA Sub C is on a firm charter until July 17, 2015. However, the parties have now agreed to extend the charter party for a 60 days firm period, with options to be agreed.

The Boa Sub C is a DP3 ultra-deep water offshore construction vessel capable of operating in waters up to 3,000 meters.

The 138.5 meters long vessel has a 2,142 m2 deck, equipped with a bollard pull 225 mt, 400 ton AHC crane, hang-off system (installed for subsea upending and extended depth capabilities), 150t flexible deployment system (FDS) and a 600 t anchor handling winch and two 500 t towing winches.

The vessel has two WROV hangars, 1 starboard side and 1 port side. Both WROVs are of Oceaneering Millenium design rated to 3000 m water depth. There is a WROV workshop integrated in the superstructure. Both WROVs are equipped with a guided launching system for operation in extreme conditions.
