The University of Highlands and Islands has awarded RS Aqua Ltd a contract for the supply and delivery of Wave Measurement Buoys for MERIKA project.

Under the agreement, the supplier is required to provide 2 years after sale support and maintenance services for the supplied hardware and software components.

Marine Energy Research Innovation and Knowledge Accelerator (MERIKA), run by the University of the Highlands and the Islands (UHI) in the north of Scotland, aims to establish a marine energy research and innovation hub in one of the remotest regions of Europe.

The project focuses on building research capacity, upgrading infrastructure, and reinforcing international collaboration with stakeholders from across the marine energy sector.
