Fluxys LNG, the owner and operator of the LNG terminal in Zeebrugge and a Fluxys Belgium unit, has awarded the turnkey contract for a new extension of the terminal to a consortium of DF Oil & Gas and Felguera IHI.

The turnkey contract covers the construction of a fifth LNG storage tank as well as additional process installations and represents an amount of over 200 million euros, Fluxys said on Thursday.

The new installations are part of the investments required to offer the transshipment services for which Fluxys LNG signed in March a long-term agreement with Yamal LNG.
