Aberdeen-based fabrication and engineering business, Harlen Fabrication Ltd has successfully delivered their first project from their recently established Dundee Quayside facility.

The contract was for the procurement of materials and manufacture of 32 engineered Clump weights totalling some 2,000 tonnes.

The firm, who provides structural fabrications, pipework and construction services to clients across the energy sector, has spent over £400,000 on premises, plant and infrastructure over the last 18 months to support their expansion. This project contributed to the creation of 30 new jobs within the Dundee facility.

Commenting on the project, Bruce Gill, Managing Director said: “Over the last 18 months the capability of Harlen has grown significantly, in technical, project management and in the scale of our operations, the delivery of this project ahead of schedule and on budget sends a clear message to the industry and underpins the Harlen ethos of “Delivering Quality Safely”.

Gill continued: “I’m confident that with several large scale projects in the pipeline from Dundee, we will continue to build on the early success of our Dundee facility and create even more jobs.”
