Senator Tom Carper (D-Delaware) visited the Port of San Francisco yesterday.

The Port of San Francisco staff provided Senator Carper with a tour by Tideline water taxi of the Port, highlighting the Pier 70 ship repair yard, Piers 80-96 maritime cargo industrial complex, the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal at Pier 27, and AT&T Park.

Topics discussed with Senator Carper included federal funding for Ports projects including the TIGER Grant program, dredging issues, the Harbor Maintenance Fee Program and Port security issues.
