UK Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Edward Davey, has issued a letter requesting comments on the application for the proposed Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay.
Edward Davey is seeking comments from the Applicant – Tidal Lagoon (Swansea Bay), Natural Resources Wales (NRW), the Welsh Government (WG) and other interested parties for the proposed Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay project.
The letter seeks clarifications on issues including Water Framework Directive, Habitats Directive/Marine Environment, Navigational Safety, and Environmental Permitting Regulations.
The deadline for any responses is April 28, 2015.
The Planning Inspectorate issued a report of recommendation to the Secretary of State on March 10, 2015.
The deadline for the Secretary of State to issue a decision on granting a Development Consent for Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay is set for June 10, 2015.
