The European grid operator, TenneT, has awarded a Nordergründe offshore wind farm contract to German-based Bitek Bergungsdienst.
Bitek Bergungsdienst will be in charge of surveying a 28-kilometre cable route for ordnance, as well as for its removal.
Namely, TenneT has agreed to install a 111MW grid connection for the Nordergründe wind farm comprising 18 Senvion 6.15MW turbines.
In September 2013, WPD acquired Nordergründe from Energiekontor AG, and in February this year, the company closed all supply contracts for the offshore wind project.
