TGS, Thalassa in Barents Seismic Deal

Norwegian seismic player, TGS, has inked a deal with BVI-based Thalassa Holdings for a new seismic data acquisition in the Norwegian Barents Sea.

Both companies, TGS’ and WGP Survey, Thalassa Holdings’ subsidiary, announced plans for further work in 2015 after wrapping up 2014’s multi-client/proprietary survey.

According to TGS’ Oslo Stock Exchange filiing, the survey will be conducted using the P-Cable system.

The project is expected to mobilise in April this year and last for 90 days.

The 2014 Barents Sea P-Cable survey was conducted by Bergen Surveyor vessel, however neither of the companies disclosed further details about the latest project.
