Huisman Equipment has installed the 650mt Pipelay Tower onboard DOF’s Skandi Africa.
In addition, Huisman also installed the crane house of the 900mt Crane onboard the vessel.
The vessel arrived to Huisman’s yard in March 2015.
The Skandi Africa is a newbuild DP3 construction support vessel, designed for harsh environment and deepwater subsea construction and flexlay operations, up to 3,000 m depth.
It is 160.9m long and 32m wide and it can accommodate 140 people.
In February 2014, French Technip chartered the vessel on a long-term basis from DOF Subsea.
