Odebrecht was recently awarded major project to retrain and improve the navigability along the 560 miles of the 950-mile Magdalena River.

The dredging operations will be carried out for the next 10 years with approximately 2,3 million of cubic meters of soil to be dredger per year.

KIASMA is already organizing the production activities and will start shipping the floating pipeline from the port of Venice to Cartagena starting from this May.

Colombia’s plan to dredge its biggest river is aimed to reduce the cost of transporting commodities and other goods to the Caribbean coast and will generate huge economical and social benefits to the country.
