Fisher Offshore has appointed Lee Hanson to the role of a new technical director.
Hanson previously held management roles within some of the subsea sector’s leading service companies including Oceaneering, Hallin Marine and Perry Slingsby Systems.
He replaces Fisher’s outgoing technical director Mike Robertson, who will retire in June after nearly 30 years of service within the oil, gas and subsea sectors. He had been employed by Fisher Offshore for eight years and will remain with the company in a consultancy role.
Jack Davidson , managing director of Fisher Offshore, commented on Hanson’s appointment: “I’m thrilled to welcome Lee to Fisher Offshore. He has a wealth of experience that will be of great benefit to the company moving forward. I’d also like to thank Mike for his service over the last eight years and wish him well in his retirement.
“As we look to reinforce our integrated offering, Lee’s main role will be to find ways that enable our various services to come together that will truly allow us to offer consolidated solutions to both our current and prospective client base. We want to ensure that all to allow our solutions to be of added value and efficiency to the end user and we’ll be looking to enhance this further throughout the months ahead.
“Along with this, Lee will also be a mentor figure to both our younger engineers and new starts to the company. This ensures that the high level of quality, that Fisher is well-known for, is fostered right from the outset.”
