The South Hook LNG terminal in the UK is scheduled to receive a fresh load of Qatari LNG.

According to the Milford Haven Port Authority website, the 210,000 cbm Al Bahiya LNG carrier is set to dock at the terminal’s jetty on May 16.

The Q-Flex vessel was built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. It was delivered in 2010 to Nakilat that chartered it on a long-term contract to Qatargas.

It will be the second delivery to the terminal located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway in two days. The 266,000 cbm Q-Max carrier Al Mafyar is scheduled to deliver its cargo on May 14.

The South Hook terminal, owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
