Supplementary geotechnical investigations were conducted at the planned Kriegers Flak platform sites in June-August 2014, and Energinet.dk has now made the data and results publicly available at its website.

The purpose of this ground investigation was to provide geotechnical data for the design of proposed offshore substations associated with the Kriegers Falk offshore wind farm.

The geotechnical investigation was carried out by Fugro Seacore Limited on behalf of Energinet.dk and under the supervision of Ramboll, with COWI as the engineering partner. The investigation area is located east of Møns Klint, Denmark.

The investigation was undertaken from Fugro’s jack-up platform Excalibur and vessel Fugro Commander . The work was carried out at two sites under consideration for the construction of substations, Site KFA and Site KFB.
